Foundations of the Creative Industries
Creative industries overview, digital portfolio setup, content creation, podcasting introduction.
Module 2
Interviewing, Journalism & Media Production
Plan, film, edit interviews; master camera techniques; practice journalism and writing.
Module 3
Film & Television Production — Focus on Ability Film Festival
Script, film, edit short film; submit to Focus on Ability Film Festival.
Semester 2

20 July - 18 December 2026
Module 4
Foundations of the Creative Industries
Industry overview, build portfolio foundations, plan screen storytelling and film projects.
Module 5
Film & Television Production
Improve camera/script skills, use video editing software, portfolio update, peer feedback.
Module 6
Theatre & Performance
Learn theatre history, improvisation, character development; hold performance showcase.
Module 7
Visual Arts, Animation & Creative Industry Showcase
Explore illustration, digital art, animation, design; present at Creative Industry Showcase.
Work Experience begins in Semester 2.
Includes industry connections, portfolio presentations and opportunities for work experience with creative organisations, media studios and community arts groups.
