About Co-Hive
Co-Hive is a vibrant, inclusive centre in Sydney dedicated to empowering young adults with disability (aged 17–35) and low support needs to build independence, develop real-world skills, and create meaningful social connections.

Who We Are
At Co-Hive, we do things differently. We’re a values-led organisation grounded in self-determination and participant-led growth. Through structured, innovative programs, we support young people to build skills across all areas of life— from social skills, navigating public transport and managing daily routines to preparing for open employment.
Our focus is on developing independence, promoting choice and control, reducing the high risk of social isolation, and building capacity for open employment. Whether it’s through hands-on cooking sessions, real-world work experiences, or social events that foster genuine friendships, participants take meaningful steps toward autonomy every day.
With experienced facilitators, strong partnerships with families and employers, and a welcoming environment at the heart of what we do, Co-Hive is more than a service—it’s a connected, inclusive community where every individual is seen, supported, and celebrated.

What Makes Co-Hive Different

We centre our programs on participant voice, choice, and goals
We’ve supported participants into paid work, increased independence, and lifelong friendships
Meet The Team
We’re here to break barriers, spark growth, and back young adults with disability to thrive — in work, in life, and beyond.
Kim Moddel

Kim Moddel
For over twenty years, Kim has championed disability and inclusion in education, with a strong focus on supporting young people as they transition from school to adult life.
After seeing too many young adults left behind once they left the classroom, Kim founded Co-Hive to change that. She leads a dedicated team committed to creating real opportunities, shifting expectations, and building a future where young adults with disability can thrive through education, employment, and independence.
Devina Solanki

Devina Solanki
Devina brings a deep commitment to disability inclusion, with leadership experience across both Australia and the UK, including senior roles at Guide Dogs UK. She has worked alongside Kim for over five years, united by a shared mission to close the gap in employment and independence for young adults with disability.
Devina plays a pivotal role in shaping Co-Hive’s programs and strategy, making sure young people are supported to thrive beyond school through meaningful work, real-world skills, and the confidence to lead their own lives.
