Industry Insights & Excursions: Visit zoos, aquariums, wildlife parks, and sanctuaries to explore employment opportunities and learn from professionals about caring for different animals.

Work Experience & Workplace Confidence: Gain hands-on experience in pet stores, grooming salons, or animal shelters while developing responsibility and communication skills. Learn about animal-care safety, teamwork, and professional expectations in the industry.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Seeing such a wide range of animals from birds to reptiles opened my eyes to how diverse the industry is,  I’m going to volunteer for an animal shelter while looking for work in animal care.”

Lulu, Participant

From Animal Care Pathways

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There is a lot of hands on work like grooming, obedience training and basic animal handling. It showed me what day-to-day work with pets is really like. It helped me see a possible pathway into running my own dog walking and grooming business.”
