Module 1

Build Core Skills

Cooking Knowledge & Skills: Learn essential cooking, food safety, nutrition, and meal-planning skills, budgeting, food safety, nutrition, sustainability, kitchen technology, global cuisines, recipe adaptations.

Technology & Innovation: Explore modern kitchen tools, apps, and digital resources that support safe, independent cooking.

Financial Literacy: Build budgeting skills for shopping, planning meals, and reducing food waste.

Module 2

Get Real Experience

Cooking & Real-Life Practice: Cook meals based on each week’s topic while practising teamwork and practical kitchen skills. Prepare and share meals based on the week’s learning topic.

Volunteer & Community: Prepare food for Co-Hive events or community activities to apply your learning.

Project — Signature Dish Showcase: Create, cost, cook, and present your own dish at a celebration event.

Learning Portfolio & Recipes

Finish with a polished online portfolio, a collection of recipes, and greater confidence and independence in the kitchen. Skills & Reflection. Reflect on skills used and document progress in their Online Portfolio.
